I decided to do this when I came to the conclusion that Delicate Sound Of Thunder was a miserable representation of the amazing 80s setlist, although I didn't entirely have the means to do it until the amazing Orange Bowl soundboard surfaced. No single recording sounded good enough or was complete. Both Melbourne '88 and Orange Bowl '87 were incomplete and suffered from distortion on loud parts, and the perfect-sounding sources were all incomplete. So I combined them. I utilized the best soundboard sources and performances I could get my hands on, and the result sounds wonderful. This could replace Delicate Sound Of Thunder on your shelf; it replaced mine. The intention was to replicate an early 1987 setlist, with Echoes. However, The Great Gig In The Sky was never played at the same show as Echoes; I added it in where it would've gone if Echoes wasn't there, between On The Run and Wish You Were Here. As a result, every song played in the AMLOR tours appears here. The tracklist is as follows. I (nickh79) did one change in the tracklist.. I changed Comfortably Numb Disc 2 track 10 to the Melbourne 88 SBD version instead of the Omnipresent version that was originally there. Just for one reason.. I think the Melbourne version is much better in quality and performance) So sorry if anyone gets offended that I did that change. Thank to hejsan at the PFHub from where I dl this great compilation. And Tenniru Production for making this bootleg. --DISC ONE-- 1. Echoes (13:45) (Hangar Rehearsals from Betacam Master, with speedfixed Prism audience recording to fill the gaps. This is the roughest-sounding thing on the disc.) 2. Signs Of Life (4:18) (Orange Bowl 1987 SBD.) 3. Learning To Fly (5:30) (Venice 1989 SBD.) 4. Yet Another Movie/Round And Around (6:47) (Venice 1989 SBD. Round Around is useless alone, so I left it connected to YAM.) 5. A New Machine (pt. 1)/Terminal Frost/A New Machine (pt. 2) (8:52) (Orange Bowl SBD. See above for combination justification.) 6. Sorrow (9:58) (Knebworth, Pre-FM 1990.) 7. The Dogs Of War (7:54) (Venice 1989 SBD.) 8. On The Turning Away (9:10) (Orange Bowl 1987 SBD. The last note was cut off, so I spliced on Melbourne. Dave's spoken intro had reverb added to it by me to make the segue sound less artificial.) --DISC TWO-- 1. One Of These Days (6:33) (Orange Bowl 1987 SBD.) 2. Time (5:41) (Orange Bowl 1987 SBD.) 3. On The Run (4:13) (Orange Bowl 1987 SBD. 4. The Great Gig In The Sky (4:49) (Knebworth Pre-FM 1990. Featuring Clare Torry.) 5. Wish You Were Here (5:00) (Melbourne 1988 SBD.) 6. Welcome To The Machine (7:36) (Melbourne 1988 SBD, with some useless crowd noise cut. I left the tape intro in, although it's very quiet.) 7. Us And Them (7:53) (Orange Bowl 1987 SBD.) 8. Money (11:26) (The sound effects intro is from Orange Bowl 1987 SBD, but when the music begins it cuts quickly to Knebworth 1990 Pre-FM, featuring Candy Dulfer on sax.) 9. Another Brick In The Wall (pt. 2) (5:56) (Opens with the drum intro from Melbourne 1988 SBD, and cuts to Orange Bowl 1987 SBD when the singing starts.) 10. Comfortably Numb (10:35) (Melbourne 1988 SBD.) 11. One Slip (6:04) (Orange Bowl 1987 SBD until the singing starts, in which it cuts to OmnipresentSBD/AUD?.) 12. Run Like Hell (6:45) (Orange Bowl 1987 SBD until drums start, in which it cuts to Omnipresent AUD/SBD?.) 13. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (pt. 1-5) (11:58) (Orange Bowl 1987 SBD.)
